Water Quality and Hydraulic Performance of Permeable Friction Course on Curbed Sections of Highways

The Center for Transportation Research at the University of Texas at Austin has released a report that focuses on whether the stormwater quality benefits associated with permeable friction course (PFC) on rural highways could also be observed on highway sections that include curbs and gutters. In addition, the report discusses preliminary tests on the spacing and configuration of under-drains for improving stormwater conveyance on roadways with PFC.
