Implementation of Low Temperature Tests for Asphalt Mixtures to Improve the Longevity of Road Surfaces

The Mountain-Plains Consortium, part of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute at North Dakota State University, has released a report that discusses low temperature response of asphalt from field cores, use of the Bending Beam Rheometer to test field mixtures, and use of a specification value for evaluation of low-temperature performance of pavement.
