Geoenvironmental Impacts of Using High Carbon Fly Ash in Structural Fill Applications

The Maryland State Highway Administration has released a report that evaluates the leaching potential of 10 metals—including aluminum, chromium, and zinc—from highway base layers stabilized with high carbon fly ash (HCFA) and highway embankment structures amended with HCFA.
